SULTAN AHMAD

Sultan Ahmad is an experienced and versatile Ph.D. pharmaceutical R&D/Scientific Affairs professional with over 25 years of experience including 20 years in management positions and in building teams. Experience in establishment and management of collaborations and alliances with scientific and medical communities.  Has led many scientific evaluations and due diligence of licensing/partnership opportunities in the areas of pain, psychiatry, oncology and gastrointestinal diseases and for medical cannabis. 
Past experience includes department head, project lead including for a clinical stage cannabinoid program, and leading global and local teams in a large MNP.  Experience span large MNPs, mid-size pharma, not-for-profit organization and the government laboratories.  Extensive knowledge and understanding of drug development including preclinical and clinical development and regulatory strategies. Thorough understanding of medical cannabis and its potential in various diseases.

DAN CHICHE

Dan Chiche MD, MSc, MBA, has a successful 20 year career history in the top tier pharmaceutical companies (Glaxo and Bristol-Myers Squibb) as an executive in Clinical Research and Medical Affairs. He is a Medical Doctor with additional training in biostatistics (Master) and business administration. He has been involved in key clinical development of compounds in various therapeutic areas, including infectious diseases, HIV, hepatitis, influenza, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, pain oncology and is fully familiarized with clinical research standards: ICH, FDA and EMEA. During his 20 years with major pharmaceuticals, he has worked with business colleagues in order to maximize product properties, using medical communication tools, developing medical concepts and effective KOL networks. As an executive manager, he has been directly involved in the optimization of human resources and processes to deliver, on schedule, high quality outputs in clinical research and medical affairs.
Dan was NEOMED’s Chief Medical Officer. NEOMED is a novel type of not for profit organization which will pioneer an approach to bridge the gap between early innovations and the health care needs of society.In this role, Dan aims to demonstrate the value of this new R&D model by bringing assets to the clinical proof-of-concept stage of maturation. 

In 2007, Dan founded Kompas Medical Services Inc., a company providing services to Biotechs, Pharmas, and other institutions. Dan was a member of board of directors of 3 biotechnology companies based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

JIT PATEL

Jit Patel Ph.D. is an accomplished Business Development and Alliance Management professional with extensive experience operating within Pharma and Nonprofit sectors. As the Vice President Research Business Development, Jit managed development of global intellectual portfolio to maximize effective commercialization of innovations through strategic partnerships across Pharmaceutical and MedTech industry sectors.  Jit worked at AstraZeneca for several years including as the Director of Business Development and Venture Capital Liaison, he developed and implemented therapeutic area business development strategy, managed global effort to identify and assess commercial potential of emerging technologies, established one of the strongest therapeutic area deal portfolios within AZ and enhanced Venture Capital partnerships to promote biotech investments in strategic therapeutic areas of interest.  

Jit brings entrepreneurial mindset with deal making experience across several industry sectors: Biopharmaceutical, MedTech and digital health; and across several deal types: strategic partnerships, in/out licensing, venture creation
